What is argali ram?

Argali ram is the largest species of wild sheep found in the world. It is native to the central Asian region, including Mongolia, China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan, among others. Argali rams have a distinctive appearance, with large, curved horns, a broad head, and a muscular body.

These sheep are known for their excellent climbing skills, made possible by their strong legs and sharp hooves. Argali rams are social animals that generally stay in small herds of a few dozen individuals. They are herbivores that feed on grass, herbs, and shrubs.

Argali rams are also popular among hunters due to their impressive horns, which can measure up to 6 feet long and weigh up to 50 pounds. Due to overhunting and loss of habitat, argali rams are now classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Conservation efforts are underway to protect this species and prevent its extinction.
